Snapchat is finally removing its unpopular new auto-advance feature. The auto-advance feature was originally created to reduce the user’s steps for viewing stories and take the user through each snap story chronologically.
Gone are the days of watching one friend’s story only to realize you’ve just watched three others as well.
Although this  change has been made to appease users, marketers will also have to adapt as well. The auto advance feature allowed marketers to promote ads in between stories while automatically updating. Snapchat will now allow users to choose which stories they would like to watch and create a playlist. Now that the change is implemented, ads will most likely be incorporated at the end of a story.
