Our Interns Wrote This Blog
Every Summer, Liquified Creative welcomes aboard a few interns to help out and learn more about social media marketing, branding, and a little bit about everything else we do.
Just recently, we finished up our fourth year of acting as the strategic digital media and marketing partner of The Giant National Capital Barbecue Battle. Every year, we develop creative, manage the event’s social presence and associated digital advertising efforts, provide live event coverage, handle media relations, and so much more. Our summer interns, Shane and Matt (or as we call them, the wonder twins), helped us to execute our final promotional and social media efforts this year. To say they did a great job would be an understatement. That’s why we thought we should introduce them to you via our blog.
Meet Matt
My name is Matthew Gigliotti and I’m currently serving as the social media marketing intern for Liquified Creative. As a social media marketing intern, I develop engaging posts through different social media platforms, help write blog content for clients and have been assisting with the Giant National Capital Barbecue Battle.
I currently attended school at the University of South Carolina majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Marketing. Before USC, I attended Queens University of Charlotte and played NCAA lacrosse. I have previously interned with my father’s company, ACT Specialty Chemicals, learning the day to day operations of the firm. At school, I am currently the head of Public Relations for my fraternity and avid volunteer within the Columbia, SC community. When I am not volunteering at school, I give back to the local community at home by serving as mentor for the youth Special Olympics.
When I am not working, volunteering or doing school work, I’m usually hanging out with my girlfriend and friends. I enjoy local craft beers and red wine. I am also an avid hip-hop and classic rock fan. I enjoy rap artist Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Kanye West and Drake upon many more. I am also a huge fan of the Grateful Dead and would love to see Dead and Company live.
I am constantly pushing myself to learn more everyday through experience and hands-on activities. My time so far at Liquified Creative has been an incredible learning experience for which I’m truly grateful for.
Meet Shane
My name is Shane O’Neill and I am an intern at Liquified Creative. Currently, I am a student at Elon University in North Carolina, majoring in English with a minor in communications.
Three words to describe me: charismatic, hard working, and approachable. As the end of my college career is coming much more quickly than anticipated, I hope that I can utilize my skills effectively in a professional setting. I am interested in a wide array of professions but when it boils down, I would like to be involved with a company that cares about its product, customers, and giving back to their community in a positive manner.
I have a diverse history of work experiences. At school, along with being a full-time student, I work as a server at the most popular restaurant in the small town of Elon called Pandora’s Pies. Prior to that, I interned for an organic salad dressing company called Tessemae’s, which has become a massive hit nationwide. For the past four years, I have been a camp counselor for children ages 4-12. Last year, I was promoted to be the assistant director of the camp, a major role for a 20-year-old. Since middle school, I have volunteered at various soup kitchens, mostly with my church.
When I’m not busy with school or work, I am a very outgoing person. I enjoy hanging out with my friends, being outside, listening to music, and spending time with my dog, JJ. One goal I have is to travel to all seven continents at some point in my life; so far, I’ve only been to two of them.
