Liquified Creative Celebrates Leadership Anne Arundel’s 25th Anniversary

July 10, 2019

Recently, Liquified Creative’s Founding Partner and Creative Director, Shawn Noratel, graduated from Leadership Anne Arundel’s 2019 Flagship Class. This year’s graduation and anniversary tribute were hosted by Live! Casino and Hotel which included the graduation of Flagship 2019 and Neighborhood Leadership 2019, Leadership AA’s 25th Anniversary, and awards presented to Dr. Dawn Lindsay, Rick Hutzell, and Deonte Ward.

LAA’s Flagship is the core Leadership Anne Arundel program. It includes an intense curriculum of civic information and leadership skills development.

Over the past few months, Shawn worked alongside a select group of participants as they gained an understanding of what constitutes leadership, as well as an introduction to the infrastructure, natural resources, and current political issues of Anne Arundel County. The program is based on a model that incorporates three key domains for developing community leaders: building community knowledge, developing leadership skills, and gaining a philosophical understanding of community trusteeship.

In order to build and develop a deeper understanding of the county and state, participants were introduced to critical regional issues. Graduates met and discussed issues with leaders from the public, private, and non-profit sectors as they identified areas of community need and methods required to succeed as community leaders.

The program provides participants with the opportunity to build upon and practice their leadership skills. Opportunities include identifying issues, inspiring a shared vision, challenging the process, modeling the way, fostering collaboration, holding values and encouraging the heart. Woven throughout the program are the philosophical concepts of community trusteeship that value a deep commitment to the community by envisioning a preferred future, empowering others to act, and acting on behalf of the common good for all concerned.

As mentioned previously, while the graduation of both the 2019 Flagship and Neighborhood Leadership Academy classes were celebrated, LAA was also celebrating their 25th year.

This program has been building and engaging leaders in Anne Arundel County for 25 years by providing people of diverse backgrounds with the education, resources, and networks necessary to become successful, proactive leaders.

To celebrate such a monumental achievement, Liquified Creative was proud to have presented Leadership AA’s 25th Anniversary Video which encompassed the heart and mission of the organization and how it has impacted the ever-changing landscape of leadership in Anne Arundel County. You can view the video below.

This vital community organization continues to develop and nurture community trustees who improve the quality of life in Anne Arundel County through convening diverse stakeholders, bridging their divides, and facilitating resolutions for the common good.
