Is your Brand Lacking Visual Cohesion?

October 1, 2016

So you want to add consistency to your visual branding? Your visual branding is so much more than just adding your logo to your website. Your visuals must adequately represent your brand’s message. Here are a few things to keep in mind to ensure that your brand’s visuals stay consistent:

  1. Font – Your font is a reflection of your brand and should remain consistent throughout your website and any other graphic you produce whether in E-blasts or social media. You should have a designated font for headlines, sub-headlines, and body copy to identify your brand’s information identity hierarchy.
  2. Voice – Always maintain a consistent voice throughout your copy. When considering the voice of your brand you should consider your level of formality. Also, consider whom it is you’re talking to and what will resonate with them.
  3. Color Pallet – Color is one of the most prominent components of your brand. Not only should your color pallet reflect the characteristics of your brand but it should also attract the right customers. If you’re not familiar with the psychology of color you may want to do a little research before determining your final color pallet. For example, try blog posts such as this one for insight.
